Ohiru = Afternoon. (Also means lunch.)
My friend Yumiko came over my place one afternoon and brought us the yummy lunch she made.
Onigiri, also known as omusubi, is a Japanese rice ball formed into triangular or oval shapes wrapped in nori (seaweed). Very traditional lunch item. Yumiko’s Onigiri had a bit chubby triangular shape and I loved it.
More ideas were getting spread over the table that day.
I like spending a simple afternoon like this. It’s a treat.
