先日、久々にとても良い映画を見ました。

『Restless 』。（日本では「永遠の僕たち」というタイトルです。）

海外でももうとっくに前から公開されていて映画館での上映はもう終わっているかと諦めていた作品だったのですが、たまたままだ上映されている映画館があったので足を運んでみました。

私はガス・ヴァン・サント（映画監督）の映像の撮り方が昔から好きなんです。

優しく淡い色合いの光に包まれた素朴で穏やかな描写にとても惹かれます。そこにはいつも空気がゆったりと流れているようで、複雑な感情や繊細な仕草もさらに際立っています。

今回の作品は私にとっては期待以上に素晴らしい一本でした。

内容は不治の病に冒された少女と、死に取り憑かれた青年の恋の物語。切ないストーリーです。でも私はこの作品を見た後はなんだか暖かい気持ちになって映画館を出てくることが出来ました。

慌ただしい毎日が続いていた私にとって、丁度心地のいいテンポがこの映画の中にありました。

It’s been some crazy busy days for me lately.

I stepped into a movie theatre one night.

Away from all that noise, sitting in the dark.

The story began and I just watched.

Nothing else.

“Restless”.

Very quiet and beautiful. I loved it.

お久しぶりです。

ちょっといつもと違う毎日の流れが続いているのでブログの更新が遅れっぱなしです。新しい時間と空間の中、色々な考えを巡らしている所です。時間に追われ、追い続け、まずは焦らず一歩づつ前進。そんな感じです。

去年１１月に東京に帰った時の写真がまだパソコンに残っていました。

独特の時の流れがここにもある事をふと思い出しました。

お久しぶりです。久々のブログ更新です。

これは先月、友人をうちに呼んで簡単な写真撮影をした時の風景です。今年の夏は色々と新しいプロジェクトを始め、その一つがウェブサイトを作ったり、ウェブショップをデザインしたり、、、など。今回は私のセレクトで日本の陶器を中心に、ちょっとした食べ物を和えてシンプルに撮影してみました。

特にコンセプトを決めずにホントに自然な流れで「じゃ、やってみよう」の一言であるお天気の良い日にのんびり楽しく友達と集まってみました。

Utsuwa: A general term used in the pottery world pertaining mostly to items used at the table.

My friends and I have been working on some small projects together this summer. There are still many things to plan and organize, but we decided to do a little photo shoot together for fun one day.

お料理の上手なゆみちゃんには器にのせる食べ物を用意してもらいました。

Yumiko is an excellent cook. She’s preparing the food to go with every plate before the shoot.

ロリはセンスのいいフォトグラファー。何も言わないでも私好みの写真を撮ってくれるんです。この日は楽しみながら沢山撮ってくれました。

Lori kindly agreed to take pictures of my selection of Japanese pottery. The results were beautiful. (I can’t wait to share them with you here one day soon.)

こんな感じで私は色々計画中なのです。

Taking notes and planning some details in the afternoon.

撮影が一段落したらお昼です。撮影で使った食べ物がそのまま私達のランチに。

We wrapped our shoot and all we had to do left was to eat all the food Yumiko made for the shoot. Delicious and fun lunch breaks are my favourite thing.
