I love Nanashi!
Between their two locations; behind Republique and rue Paradis, I visited their school canteen-style restaurant in the Northern Marais this time.
The decor here, designed by Clarisse Demory, is delightful and luminous with fresh white walls, vast windows, lots of natural light in the high-ceilinged space. Beautifully done up with those pretty lamps made by Ana Kras and fringed decorations from an art collective; ConfettiSystem. It’s so stylish, almost like Scandinavian Paris with a Tokyo touch. This unique mix of art and food culture is what I love about this place.
Nanashi brings the Parisian Bento, a French take on the Japanese Bento (lunch) box. Their food is fresh, healthy and delicious. The menu also includes brioche pizzas, plenty of freshly squeezed fruit juices and dreamy cakes. I was there around lunch time and it was full and lively with lots of stylish people. I felt like I was watching a scene from a movie.
Don’t forget to try one of their yummy deserts after your lunch, it’ll make your day extra happy.
