Sokokashiko

４月に東京に帰っていた時、ちょうど母のお習字の展覧会があったので行ってきました。母の友人がお習字の先生ということもあり母は長く習字を続けていて、この「玄妙展」と名付けられた展覧会は毎年一回恒例の行事です。今回は母は数点の作品を、父と妹も参加し一点ずつ出展していました。私も昔お習字は好きだったのでいつかまた機会があれば始めてみようと思ったりしました。

Oshuuji = Calligraphy

I visited a small local Japanese calligraphy exhibition that my family participated back in April. My mother’s old friend is an excellent calligraphy teacher and it’s been a tradition that my family join this exhibition annually every year. My father and sister had one piece each up, and my mother exhibited a few pieces this year. I used to love Japanese calligraphy and it’s something I’d like to practice again one day.
