Suddenly the memory came back. I remember now.

It was Autumn there. My favourite season in Japan. Peaceful, almost too uncomfortably.

The yellow and orange leaves.  The persimmons were ripe, almost too old.

I felt the warm sunshine on my back, and I liked the cold breeze on my face.

So close but so far away at the same time.

Home is where your heart is.

永源寺 1 (Weekend Trip Part 3)

Posted in Japan No Comments;

The first stop on our trip was Eigen-ji Temple in Shiga prefecture.  It was such a beautiful place by the river and everyone was enjoying the stunning views of the colourful Momiji autumn leaves.

I found a local vegetable market near our parking spot. I’d totally come here every day if I lived there.

I loved this little gift shop.

Ginkgo nuts.

I was getting distracted by the Japanese antique market.

… and the food, too.

Ochiba (Fallen leaves)

This is the kind of scenery that makes me very at home.

I liked the strong shadow of the trees and the yellow leaves on the ground. It looked like a big painting to me.

ただいま。I’m home.

I went back to Tokyo last month for a holiday. I enjoyed every single moment of it.

On the first day, I went for a walk at Zempukuji Park, a gorgeous park just a block away from my parents’ house in Tokyo. It was so sunny, warm and peaceful.

I’ll start posting more photos from my trip here.
