Some kids in the park started to gather around and helped us out while we were trying to hang up the big dreamcatcher. So cute!
Nathalee’s been making beautiful decorations for window displays, art galleries, music shows and such. Her dream catcher is one of my favorites. She has an excellent taste in design and her art is really who she is. So fun, delightful and joyful.

Christmas is coming up in a few days and the holiday mood is everywhere. As I’m looking at the grey winter sky from the window everyday, I’m thinking of the summer memories.
These photos are from one of the nicest summer days I had this year. At Cat Lake, Squamish, British Colombia, we were with good friends, good food, and lots of sunshine.
Some were talking about their crochet, taking pictures, or making some grilled corns. Feeling completely free. I liked the long white ribbon tape that my friend put up between the trees. The wind was blowing, and it looked beautiful.

しばらくブログから離れていましたが又久しぶりに戻ってきました。特にどこか旅行に行ったとかではなく，自然と気分だけが離れていったのでその流れにそってインターネットから少し休暇を取っていました。年末年始の慌ただしい時期を過ぎると今度は静かな空間を見つけ、そこで色々と考え事をしたり、頭の中を休めたりします。
丁度去年の今頃、バンクーバーで友達とスノーシューイングに行った時のことを思い出しました。スカッと晴れてとても気持ちのいい冬の日，みんなで早起きして山へドライブ。スノーシューイングは雪山でのハイキングといった感じです。私は初めての挑戦だったので慣れないスノーシューを足にはめてぎこちなく出発です。
急な坂を上って後ろを振り返るとこんな感じ。友達が下の方で写真を撮ってるけど、私はその向こうの景色に釘付けでした。
頂上に着いたら鮮やかな青空の真下、雪の山脈を見渡しながらのランチタイムです。私は朝作ってきたおにぎりを並べ，みんなで持ち寄ったおやつも一緒にリラックス。
友達が早朝に焼いてきたクッキー。美味しくって又元気が出ます。
レスキュー隊のヘリコプター発見。黄色が青空に映えてかっこいい〜、なんて言っていたら本当に誰かがSOS していたようです。
帰りはみんなそれぞれマイペースにゆっくり景色を楽しみながら山を降りていきました。やっぱりこういう大自然の中にいると気持ちが自然にリラックスされますね。普段のストレスや悩み事も一気に吹き飛んでしまうようです。この日は友達と一緒にバンクーバーの魅力、大自然を満喫してとても楽しい思い出になりました。あれからもう一年も経ってしまったなんて嘘のようです。今年はどんな年になるのか期待と不安で一杯ですが、ハイキングと同じように山あり、谷あり、かな。まずは前進あるのみです。

珍しく友達の犬の散歩に誘われたので一緒に行ってきました。バンクーバーにある公園の中でも特にここが好き、という友達のリクエストで「ライトハウスパーク」へ向かいました。
大自然の中で犬達も大喜び。
散歩の途中見つけた森の中にぽつんとあるちょっと不思議なオープンシアター。こけのはえた古い板のスクリーンが幻想的です。
何百年もの古い木がうっそうと茂るこの森。雨のせいで一層深みを出した葉っぱや土の匂いがとてもリラックスさせてくれました。
ライトハウスパーク(Point Atkinson Lighthouse Park)はバンクーバーから30分程、高級住宅が建ち並ぶ海沿いの細い道を抜けていったところにある古い灯台の立つ公園です。
駐車場から灯台まで様々なコースで歩いていけるちょっとしたハイキングコースがあり、メインコースをゆっくり歩くていくと、片道30分ほどでバンクーバーの街が見渡せる展望所（View Point)の岩場に到着できます。この日はあいにく雨だったのでせっかく展望所に登っても曇っていて写真もゆっくり撮れませんでしたが，，，。きっとお天気の良い日に行ったら綺麗な景色が見渡せるはずです。

お久しぶりです。久々のブログ更新です。
これは先月、友人をうちに呼んで簡単な写真撮影をした時の風景です。今年の夏は色々と新しいプロジェクトを始め、その一つがウェブサイトを作ったり、ウェブショップをデザインしたり、、、など。今回は私のセレクトで日本の陶器を中心に、ちょっとした食べ物を和えてシンプルに撮影してみました。
特にコンセプトを決めずにホントに自然な流れで「じゃ、やってみよう」の一言であるお天気の良い日にのんびり楽しく友達と集まってみました。

Utsuwa: A general term used in the pottery world pertaining mostly to items used at the table.
My friends and I have been working on some small projects together this summer. There are still many things to plan and organize, but we decided to do a little photo shoot together for fun one day.
お料理の上手なゆみちゃんには器にのせる食べ物を用意してもらいました。
Yumiko is an excellent cook. She’s preparing the food to go with every plate before the shoot.
ロリはセンスのいいフォトグラファー。何も言わないでも私好みの写真を撮ってくれるんです。この日は楽しみながら沢山撮ってくれました。
Lori kindly agreed to take pictures of my selection of Japanese pottery. The results were beautiful. (I can’t wait to share them with you here one day soon.)

撮影が一段落したらお昼です。撮影で使った食べ物がそのまま私達のランチに。
We wrapped our shoot and all we had to do left was to eat all the food Yumiko made for the shoot. Delicious and fun lunch breaks are my favourite thing.

キャンプ二日目の朝食風景。しっかり食べてまた釣りへ出かけます。
Day 2. More food and more fishing…
帰り道に立ち寄ったチリワックという場所にあるとうもろこしスタンド。畑で積まれたばかりの新鮮なとうもろこしがこのミニ・ドライブスルーで買えちゃうのです。知る人ぞ知るスポットらしい。もちろん私もつられて買ってきました。
We stopped at one little sopt on our way home after camping. You can buy locally grown corn in Chilliwack, British Columbia. The corn is picked fresh and delivered directly from the fields to their convenient drive-thru stands daily. How cute is that?
